The General Staff has confirmed that the Atlant Aero defense plant in Taganrog has been hit
On the night of April 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out successful strikes against a facility belonging to the Russian defense-industrial complex in the Rostov region, causing a massive fire. The Atlant Aero company specializes in the full-cycle production of Molniya strike drones and components for Orion heavy drones.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The plant in Taganrog produces critical equipment for the Russian aviation industry, including reconnaissance systems and mounting brackets for KAB-20 guided bombs. Local Russian authorities confirmed that a fire broke out in the warehouse area following the missile strike, reporting three casualties. In addition to the aviation facility, Ukrainian units attacked ammunition and fuel depots in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
Meanwhile, the General Staff provided details on the aftermath of a previous attack on an oil refinery near Tuapse, where the primary oil processing unit and storage tanks were damaged. At the marine terminal, equipment at the oil loading berths was also disabled, significantly complicating the occupiers’ logistics. Striking strategic enterprises is part of a systematic effort to undermine the aggressor’s military-technical capabilities.
On the night of Sunday, April 19, missiles struck the “ATLANT AERO” facility in the city of Taganrog on Russian territory. The strike hit a plant engaged in the development and production of “Molniya”-type strike and reconnaissance drones, as well as components for the “Orion” UAV.
Additionally, on April 18, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian TOS-1A “Sontsepok” heavy flamethrower system in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Ukrainian defenders carried out a successful strike on enemy logistics hubs, destroying fuel tankers near the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk.
In the Russian city of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Krai, explosions were heard on the night of April 16 amid a drone attack. The strikes may have targeted tanks at the Tuapse Oil Refinery, which is owned by Rosneft.
