A teenager was killed in Chernihiv during a nighttime drone attack by Russian forces
A 16-year-old boy was killed in a massive drone strike on Chernihiv; rescue workers found his body while clearing the rubble. Four other residents sustained injuries of varying severity during the nighttime attack on the city.
Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, reported on the consequences of the enemy shelling on Telegram.
Significant damage to private homes, a high school, and an industrial facility in various locations has been recorded in the city. A medical facility that had already sustained damage during hostilities in 2022 was also hit. Fires that broke out at the impact sites were quickly extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service.
Another terrorist attack by the Russian Federation has damaged the region’s energy infrastructure, leaving some residents without power. Relevant services are currently on site to document war crimes and provide assistance to those affected. Restoration work on the damaged facilities will begin after the initial investigative actions are completed.
The Russians also struck a meat processing plant in the Kharkiv region with a "Molniya" drone—three people were injured.
Over the past 24 hours, Russia has carried out 1,355 strikes on the Donetsk region, resulting in one death and several injuries.
