A NATO admiral considers a decisive victory for either Ukraine or Russia in the war unlikely
Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, stated that achieving a complete military victory for either side at this stage is a difficult task due to the significant number of occupying forces. According to him, the presence of 700,000 Russian soldiers in the occupied territories poses serious obstacles to their rapid expulsion.

The admiral noted that the outcome of the conflict could have been significantly different if Western partners had provided Ukraine with all the necessary weapons back in 2022 during the successful counteroffensives. He emphasized that Russia has already suffered a strategic defeat, becoming a satellite of China, without whose support the Kremlin would not be able to continue hostilities. Bauer added that from a military standpoint, he sees no scenario in which Russia could emerge victorious from this war.
Despite the complexity of the situation on the battlefield, NATO continues to highlight the aggressor’s strategic failure. Continued support for Ukraine remains a key factor influencing the Armed Forces’ ability to counter Russia’s plans. Currently, the Alliance is analyzing the mistakes of previous stages of the war to ensure more effective assistance for restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
Russia could attack Europe if China invades Taiwan, according to the NATO Secretary General.
Dictator Putin, ahead of a meeting with a U.S. delegation comprising U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, stated that Russia is allegedly ready to go to war with Europe but has no such intention.
In the event of a Russian attack on NATO members, the Alliance could launch a preemptive strike against targets on Russian territory, according to Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it entirely possible that Russia could open a second front against another European country even before the war in Ukraine ends.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army could attack a NATO member state within the next five years. This would test the Alliance’s resilience.
