The General Staff reported a sharp escalation on all fronts
Over the past 24 hours, 224 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines, and Russian forces deployed more than 6,000 drones, aerial bombs, and dozens of missiles, indicating a sharp increase in the intensity of combat operations along the entire front line.
The intensity of fighting on the front lines rose sharply over the past 24 hours: Ukrainian forces recorded 224 combat engagements, while the enemy simultaneously pounded positions with missiles, aerial bombs, and thousands of kamikaze drones, creating relentless pressure along nearly the entire line of contact.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops fired 75 missiles in two missile strikes, carried out more than 60 airstrikes, and dropped 187 guided aerial bombs, while simultaneously deploying more than 6,300 kamikaze drones and carrying out over 2,000 shelling attacks on Ukrainian forces’ positions and populated areas. This scale of attacks effectively turns each day into a continuous cycle of various types of strikes, with drones, aircraft, and artillery operating simultaneously.
The fiercest battles took place simultaneously on several fronts. In the Slobozhanshchyna region, the enemy attempted to break through defenses near a number of settlements, but some of the attacks were repelled, while others are still ongoing. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled several assaults in the areas of Novoselivka and Lyman, preventing the enemy from consolidating its positions.
Intense pressure continues on the Sloviansk sector, where more than two dozen attacks have been repelled, as well as on the Kostiantynivka sector, where the enemy attempted to advance in several areas simultaneously. In the Pokrovsk sector, 28 attacks were recorded, some of which Ukrainian forces repelled, inflicting casualties on the enemy. “According to preliminary estimates, 42 occupiers were killed and 16 wounded here today; a tank, vehicles, and specialized equipment were destroyed, and shelters and command posts were hit,” the General Staff reported.
It was also noted that Ukrainian forces destroyed or neutralized more than 230 enemy drones, indicating the active operation of air defense systems and electronic warfare capabilities.
In other sectors, combat activity remained less intense; however, the overall situation on the front remains tense, with constant assaults, airstrikes, and the massive use of drones along the entire line of contact. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of a massive Russian strike on the capital, a leased humanitarian warehouse belonging to the Ukrainian Red Cross was completely destroyed; it had stored over 320,000 items of cargo and equipment with a total value of more than 79 million hryvnias.
As a result of Russian shelling and a fire at one of the capital’s enterprises, fuel and lubricants flowed into Kyrylivskyi Lake in Kyiv through the storm sewer system.
