The General Staff has provided details on the consequences of the strikes on oil facilities in Russia
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has provided further details on the results of the strikes against Russian fuel and energy infrastructure facilities carried out on June 8.
Based on the results of additional reconnaissance, significant damage has been confirmed at the Grushova oil depot in the Krasnodar Krai, the Krasnoarmiysk oil pumping station in the Saratov region, and the Krasny Yar linear production and dispatch station in the Volgograd region.
The General Staff noted that two oil tanks caught fire at the Grushova transshipment oil depot.
In addition, infrastructure used for monitoring and assessing the quality of petroleum products was damaged. This facility plays a crucial role in the fuel supply chain.
It has also been confirmed that the “Krasnoarmiysk” oil pumping station in the Saratov region was successfully struck. As a result of the attack, two oil tanks caught fire, each with a capacity of approximately 50,000 cubic meters.
Such damage could significantly impact the facility’s operations and oil transportation capabilities.
At the Krasny Yar linear production and dispatch station in the Volgograd region, a fire has been confirmed in one oil tank with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters. The station is part of the oil product transportation system within Russia.
The General Staff emphasizes that strikes on fuel and energy infrastructure facilities are aimed at reducing Russia’s ability to supply its troops with fuel and maintain military logistics.
Such strikes are part of a comprehensive campaign to reduce the aggressor country’s resource potential.
