Russia carried out nearly 80 strikes on the Sumy region over the past 24 hours: a child was among those injured
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked 24 settlements in the Sumy region, launching approximately 80 strikes on the area. Nine people were injured as a result of the shelling, including one child. The attacks lasted from the morning of July 26 until the morning of July 27.
In the Sumy community, a 15-year-old girl, a 39-year-old man, and a 58-year-old woman were injured when guided aerial bombs struck; a 70-year-old woman was also affected. A 46-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man suffered acute stress reactions after an enemy drone struck their car. A 34-year-old woman was injured when a UAV struck her.
In the Shostka community, a 45-year-old man was injured and a 58-year-old man was wounded as a result of drone strikes.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a 58-year-old man was wounded on July 25 when an enemy drone struck a car.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
Russian forces used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs across the region.
In the Berezivska community, private residential homes and a car were damaged. In the Kyrykivska community, a private residential home was damaged. In the Mykolaivska rural community, a private residential home and a car were damaged.
In the Zno-Novgorod community, a private residential house and outbuildings were destroyed, and a passenger car was damaged. In the Sumy community, private residential houses, non-residential buildings, a shopping center, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. In the Putivl community, a private residential house was damaged. In the Duboviaziv community, an agricultural building was damaged. In the Hlukhiv community, a warehouse, a private residential house, and outbuildings were damaged.
In the Shostka community, an apartment building, a store, and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged. In the Seredyna-Bud community, private residential homes were destroyed.

During the nighttime attack, Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 123 enemy aerial targets.

On the night of July 26, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles, a guided air-to-ground missile, and attack drones. Air defense forces destroyed one X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missile, five of seven Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 104 enemy drones.
