The Joint Operations Command reported a disinformation campaign surrounding prisoner exchanges
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported an intensification of the disinformation campaign and the spread of false reports. The agency urged citizens not to trust fake news and to rely only on official sources of information.
The headquarters refuted reports of an alleged leadership change and emphasized that such rumors are part of an information campaign. Ukrainians are urged to verify all reports and not to spread unconfirmed information.
The agency noted that reports are circulating online about alleged personnel changes in the Coordination Headquarters’ leadership.
They stressed that this information is untrue and is intended to be manipulative.
What the Headquarters Stated
The Coordination Headquarters reported that its head, Lieutenant General Oleg Ivashchenko, his deputy Andriy Yusov, and the headquarters’ secretary and head of the prisoner exchange working group, Brigadier General Dmytro Usov, continue to perform their duties and are working to secure the return of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians from Russian captivity.
The office reiterated that, at the direction of the President of Ukraine, negotiations are ongoing to organize future prisoner exchanges.
In addition, daily meetings are held with the families of captives, new information is being processed, the information system and personal account portal are operational, international efforts and the implementation of family support projects continue, as well as the “I Want” series of initiatives aimed at replenishing the exchange fund.
What Ukrainians Were Urged to Do
The Coordination Headquarters stated that the spread of false information indicates attempts to disrupt or discredit its work.
In conclusion, Ukrainians were urged to rely exclusively on official and verified sources of information to avoid falling victim to information manipulation.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.
The WOG gas station chain in Kyiv and the Kyiv region will temporarily suspend nighttime operations due to the increased risk of enemy shelling.
Russia also attacked blocked ships in the ports of the Mykolaiv region; there have been fatalities.
