Russia has deployed a new batch of BMP-3s to the front lines
The Russian defense-industrial complex has delivered another batch of modernized BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Russian Armed Forces. The vehicles have already been shipped by train to be used in the war against Ukraine.
It is reported that the new BMP-3s underwent upgrades before being handed over to the troops. Russia continues to replenish its units with armored vehicles for combat operations in Ukraine.
The state-owned corporation “Rostec” stated that it is working to increase BMP-3 production volumes.
The video shows about 12 BMP-3s, but the Russian side has not disclosed the exact number of vehicles delivered.
The infantry fighting vehicles are being upgraded based on lessons learned from the war with Ukraine. For example, this year, their underbody protection against mine blasts has been reinforced, as has the anti-shrapnel armor on the rear and front sections.
The BMP-3 can carry up to 7 infantrymen (plus 3 crew members). The vehicle’s maximum speed is 70 km/h on highways. The vehicle’s main armament consists of a twin-gun turret system, which includes a 100-mm 2A70 gun-launcher and a 30-mm 2A72 automatic cannon, as well as a co-mounted 7.62-mm PKT machine gun.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region and damaged a gas station and a resort.
The WOG gas station chain in Kyiv and the Kyiv region will temporarily suspend nighttime operations due to the increased risk of enemy shelling.
Russia also attacked blocked ships in the ports of the Mykolaiv region; there are fatalities.
