General Staff: Since the start of the day, the occupiers have launched 83 assaults
Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 83 times. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
The Russian army continues to shell border areas in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Rohizne, Ryzhivka, Korenok, Neskuchne, Tovstodubove, Bunyakine, Bachivsk, Sopych, Yastrubshchyna, Halahanivka, and Zarichchia came under fire. Sloboda in the Sumy region was also hit by an airstrike.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made 23 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Vilne, Kuchero-Yar, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, and Udachne. Two firefights are ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 attacks near Pryluky, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Solodke, Vozdvizhivka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, Huliaipil, and Charivne. Three more battles are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, 11 assaults were recorded; in the Sloviansk direction—seven; in the Kostyantynivka direction—seven; and in the Oleksandrivka direction—six.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy twice attempted to break through the defenses near Vilcha and Okhrimivka; one battle is ongoing. In the Kupianskyi sector, the occupiers attacked near Novoplatonivka and Kupiansk.
No offensive actions by Russian troops were recorded in the Kramatorsk and Dnipro directions.

A Russian man attacked Russian theater and film actor Artur Smolyaninov in Germany; Smolyaninov had been added to Russia’s list of “terrorists and extremists” for condemning the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. An unknown individual used profanity against the actor and threatened to “tear him to pieces” when he arrives in Russia.
