The Main Intelligence Directorate has revealed the stories of two mercenaries from Cameroon whom Russia sent to carry out suicide attacks

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has released the stories of two Cameroonian citizens who fought on the side of the Russian army and were killed on the front lines. According to intelligence reports, Russia sent both mercenaries on so-called “meat grinders” just a few weeks after they signed their contracts.

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported that one of them was 23-year-old Ngulure Ibrahim Nkite, who arrived in Russia in February 2026 and signed a one-year contract to serve as a rifleman in April. After brief training, he was deployed to the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast, where, according to preliminary data, he was killed around May 12 during an assault in the Lyman area of Donetsk Oblast.

The second mercenary killed was 25-year-old Tapinjeu Namekong Loik, who had been studying at Michurinsk State Agrarian University in the Russian Federation. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), he was recruited into the Russian army and signed his contract in March 2026 in Vologda. Around April 23, the Cameroonian was killed near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Intelligence sources noted that from the moment they signed their contracts until their deaths, both mercenaries had served for about a month.

According to data from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate project “I Want to Live,” since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost at least 106 Cameroonian citizens whom it recruited to fight in the war against Ukraine.

This was reported on July 15 by the Main Intelligence Directorate.

As a reminder, fighters from the “Jesus Christ” Company of the “Brotherhood” Battalion, part of the “Timur Special Forces Unit” of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, convinced a Russian soldier to lay down his arms and surrender.

Eldar Shakirov, a former prisoner who was captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that the Russian command sends convicts to the front lines without proper training and treats them as expendable.

Border guards from the “Gart” Brigade eliminated 32 occupiers and took five prisoner.
