Ukrainian Intelligence Reveals List of Foreign Equipment at Russian Shipbuilding Plants
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has released detailed data on 50 pieces of foreign equipment used by the aggressor to maintain its fleet, the intelligence agency reported on Facebook.
As part of the “Instruments of War” project, Ukrainian analysts identified critically important machine tools and robotic production lines at key Russian enterprises. The published information concerns CNC (computer numerical control) machining centers and high-tech capacities that support the operation of strategic factories.
These include facilities building nuclear submarines and providing maintenance for the occupier’s naval vessels.
“Restricting access to foreign equipment, components, technical fluids, and software is a necessary condition for reducing the aggressor’s potential,” the Main Intelligence Directorate emphasized. The agency is confident that depriving Russia of technological support will block its ability to repair and modernize naval weaponry.
Particular attention was paid to Kronstadt Marine Plant, directly responsible for servicing military ships. The list also includes Sevmash, where submarine missile carriers are built, and the Baltic Shipyard, known for producing nuclear icebreakers and combat fleet units.
Ukrainian intelligence notes that the Defense Forces have already forced the enemy to disperse the Black Sea Fleet to remote areas. However, a systemic restriction of Russia’s shipbuilding sector is key to ensuring that Moscow loses the means for aggression in other regions, including the Baltic.
It should be recalled that the Main Intelligence Directorate has previously urged Russian designers to surrender missile secrets. The agency has also disclosed Russia’s stocks and production rates of missiles and drones.
