The Russians sent about 20 drones toward a single substation in the Zhytomyr region

Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on the energy infrastructure of Zhytomyr Oblast, concentrating the strike of approximately 20 drones on a single substation. The energy company stated that critical infrastructure facilities remain one of the enemy’s primary targets and confirmed the attack.

Russian forces attacked the energy infrastructure of the Zhytomyr region, directing about 20 Shahed-type strike drones at one of the region’s substations. This was reported by Oleksiy Sheketa, chairman of the board of JSC “Zhytomyroblenergo,” citing data on the attack’s consequences.

According to him, the strike was targeted and concentrated, and the power grid facility itself came under intense drone attack. The company emphasizes that energy infrastructure remains one of the priority targets of Russian strikes.

Sheketa commented emotionally on the attack, emphasizing that the Ukrainian power grid is constantly under pressure. “About 20 ‘suicide drones’ per substation. Is our energy sector like a bone in the throat of these monsters? Let that bone stay in their throats until it chokes them! We know what to do,” he noted in his post.

The company adds that despite the attacks, work to restore and protect the power grid continues, and specialists are working to minimize the impact of the strikes.

The Russian command is also concerned about the safety of its military contingent in Transnistria and is attempting to take measures to reinforce it.

Russian occupiers attacked a vehicle with an FPV drone in the Myrivska community of the Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
