More than 300 foreign mercenaries who fought for Russia are being held captive by Ukraine — Sibiga
More than 300 foreign nationals who fought on the side of Russia against Ukrainian forces are being held in Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga during a speech at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
According to him, due to significant losses on the front lines, Russia has launched a campaign to recruit mercenaries, primarily from African and Asian countries.
Sybiga noted that all of these individuals were taken prisoner and are currently being held in detention facilities in Ukraine. He also emphasized the need to stop the illegal recruitment of foreigners into the war against Ukraine.
On the front lines, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers eliminated Yuriy Hrytsenko, known as the “Zelenograd maniac.” After serving his sentence, he joined the war against Ukraine.
On April 14, Russian troops struck the Pechenizke Reservoir in the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs.
