The Belgian General Staff expects the war in Ukraine to end by 2030

In Europe, it is predicted that the war in Ukraine could end by 2030.

This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Belgian Army, Frédéric Vansina, in an interview with Le Soir.

According to him, by that time, Russia may maintain an army of 650,000 to 700,000 experienced soldiers, which would pose a serious threat to Europe.

He emphasized that European countries must use this period to strengthen their defense capabilities.

“By 2030, we must be ready to tell Putin that even without the Americans, he is incapable of defeating Europe,” Vancina noted.

The general also emphasized that the war currently shows signs of becoming a protracted conflict, and Russia continues to sustain its war economy and build up its forces.

At the same time, he noted that it is Ukraine’s resistance that is giving Europe time to prepare for possible future challenges.

On the front lines, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers eliminated Yuriy Hrytsenko, known as the “Zelenograd maniac.” After serving his sentence, he joined the war against Ukraine.

On April 14, Russian troops struck the Pechenizke Reservoir in the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs.
