Two Russian ballistic missiles struck a private sports complex in the Kyiv region, not a Ukrainian Armed Forces training ground. This was reported by Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat.
“This is not a military training ground; it is a sports complex. It is privately owned and has no connection to the military,” Ignat emphasized.
He noted that law enforcement agencies must now assess the actions of the event’s organizers.
In a post, Ruslan Oliinyk, acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, reported that efforts to address the aftermath of the ballistic missile strike in the Kyiv region are ongoing—all emergency services are working at the site of the attack.
“As a result of the shelling in the Bucha district, 27 private homes and 44 vehicles were damaged. Information regarding the number of dead and wounded is being verified,” his statement reads.
He added that all those affected are receiving the necessary medical care.
