Ukraine is ready for talks with Putin in Turkey, with Trump and Erdogan in attendance
Ukraine has expressed its willingness to host a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Turkey, provided that two other world leaders also participate.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.
According to the foreign minister, Kyiv supports the idea of negotiations in the format of a four-party meeting:
- Volodymyr Zelenskyy
- Vladimir Putin
- Donald Trump
- Recep Tayyip Erdogan
“We are ready for a meeting of leaders in Turkey in the Zelenskyy–Putin format, with the participation of Erdogan and Trump. We recently conveyed this message to our Turkish partners. Turkey plays an important role in peace efforts,” Sibiga noted.
Kyiv emphasizes that Turkey remains one of the key mediators in resolving the war. That is why its participation in potential negotiations is considered crucial.
The idea of direct talks between Ukraine and Russia is periodically raised amid international efforts to end the war, but the format and conditions of such meetings remain the subject of diplomatic discussions.
