Mobile internet service was disrupted in St. Petersburg following a drone attack
On the morning of April 17, residents of St. Petersburg reported disruptions in mobile internet service.

According to users, the problems began around 6 a.m. and affected all major telecom operators. An increase in the number of complaints was also recorded by specialized outage monitoring services.
Drones attacked the Leningrad Region overnight. Governor Alexander Drozdenko warned of a possible slowdown in mobile internet speeds.
According to him, 12 drones were shot down over the region. In the Vyborgsky District, a fire broke out at a warehouse after debris fell; minor damage was also reported in the Lomonosovsky District. There were no casualties.
Due to the attack, flight arrivals and departures at Pulkovo Airport were temporarily restricted. The restrictions lasted several hours, resulting in the delay or cancellation of more than 20 flights.
In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, mobile internet was completely shut down.
In Russia, government agencies have once again shut down the entire internet.
