In the Russian-occupied Donetsk region, Russia has stepped up its propaganda campaign regarding the region's recovery
On the eve of the illegal Russian elections in the temporarily occupied territories, the occupying authorities in Donetsk Oblast have stepped up their information campaign regarding the region’s alleged “reconstruction.” Denis Pushilin, the “Gauleiter” of the so-called “DPR,” announced more than 63,000 proposals for the new “people’s program” of the “United Russia” party.
At the same time, the announced plans do not match the scale of destruction the region has suffered as a result of Russian aggression. In particular, in Mariupol alone, approximately 2,600 apartment buildings have been damaged, more than half of which are critically damaged or completely destroyed.
Despite this, the Russian “People’s Program” calls for the renovation of only 2,800 apartment buildings across the entire temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast by 2030.
Moreover, even the housing built by Russia is not always provided to people who lost their homes due to Russian aggression. In particular, in Mariupol, about 75% of real estate buyers are newcomers from Russia, while local residents have for years been denied the compensation and restored housing promised by the Kremlin.
Over the past 12 years, the part of Donetsk Oblast under Russian occupation has not become an example of the promised “recovery”; on the contrary, it has faced systemic problems in the housing and utilities sector and infrastructure.
The Kremlin is attempting to create the illusion of the region’s recovery and legitimize the occupation. But in reality, it views the seized Ukrainian territories solely as a resource for advancing its own interests.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
The Center refuted a false claim about the alleged recruitment of students into the Unmanned Systems Forces through a Kyiv university.
The Center for Countering Disinformation also reported on a large-scale Russian information attack targeting the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty. Russian propaganda is spreading fake statements allegedly made on his behalf.
The Center stated that there is no official information regarding Iran’s preparations for a strike against Ukraine.
Russia’s war against Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East are becoming increasingly intertwined and could become part of a broader global confrontation.
Iran possesses a significant arsenal of medium-range ballistic missiles, some of which are potentially capable of reaching Ukrainian territory if launched from Iranian soil. Analysts have assessed the capabilities of Iran’s missile arsenal and identified the most dangerous models.
