Twelve unnamed soldiers were buried at the National Military Cemetery
Twelve Ukrainian soldiers who died defending their country were laid to rest with full military honors at the National Military Memorial Cemetery. Their names have not yet been determined, but the government continues to work on identification so that every hero will eventually be named and their families will have a place to honor their memory.
The burials were organized by the Volyn, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, and Zakarpattia regional military administrations. All necessary procedures required by law were carried out beforehand. The memory of the fallen was honored with a moment of silence and a prayer led by a military chaplain.

The ceremony took place in accordance with the Statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Protocol and Ceremonial Regulations of Ukraine. During the burial, a salute was fired by a ceremonial gun squad, and the National Anthem of Ukraine was played. The honor guard was provided by servicemen of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

Also participating in the ceremony were military chaplain Father Oleksiy, representatives of civil-military cooperation agencies, the Ukrainian Air Force, and the State Special Transport Service. Representatives of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, regional military administrations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the leadership of the National Military Memorial Cemetery were present at the funeral.
The identities of the heroes are still being determined
At present, the identities of 12 of the buried soldiers have not been established. However, the identification process does not end with the burial. The state continues to work to identify each of the fallen. This is necessary not only for official documentation. For families, it is an opportunity to find out where their loved one is buried, to visit their grave, and to honor their memory.

“The state is working to restore names to each of them so that families, comrades-in-arms, and sisters have a place where they can come to honor the memory of their hero and be near him,” — officials at the National Military Memorial Cemetery noted.

As long as the names of these soldiers remain unknown, the cemetery will preserve the memory of each of them. They died defending Ukraine and were given a final salute in accordance with military protocol. And the work to restore their names will continue. This was reported by the National Military Memorial Cemetery.
