JYSK has suspended operations at two stores following Russian attacks
The JYSK chain has temporarily closed its stores in the “Amstor” shopping center in Zaporizhzhia and the “Manufaktura” shopping center in Sumy. Both facilities were damaged as a result of repeated Russian strikes.
JYSK Ukraine Country Director Yevhen Ivanitsa reported that the shopping centers sustained significant damage, prompting the stores to suspend operations indefinitely.
According to him, the most important thing is that all of the chain’s employees remained unharmed. The company emphasized that employee safety will remain a priority moving forward, and stores will operate only when there are no air raid alerts.
“We rebuilt once—we’ll rebuild again,” Ivanitsa said.
Currently, JYSK has 119 stores in 40 cities across Ukraine, as well as an online store. The chain employs nearly 1,000 people.

A Russian attack damaged a furniture factory in Vasylkiv.
In the Sumy region, Russian troops launched a series of strikes on civilian targets. An 83-year-old woman was killed in the attacks, and at least 16 other people were wounded and injured.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by the Russian Federation.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
