The commander of the Special Forces criticized the quality of combat units for drones
Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, has reported serious quality issues with the combat components for Ukrainian strike drones.
He reported this on social media.
According to the military official, the discrepancy between the stated specifications and actual performance forces units to expend significantly more drones to hit targets.
As an example, he cited a strike on a Russian military command post in the Luhansk region. Six drones had to be used to completely destroy the target, although two would have been sufficient if the combat components had been of adequate quality.
The commander emphasized that the problem is systemic and affects the effectiveness of drone combat operations.
He urged manufacturers to focus on product quality rather than profits and to establish direct cooperation with military units.
At the same time, the drone manufacturer notes that the warheads are supplied by third-party contractors, and the products undergo testing before use.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine certified and approved the “Nebokray” mobile workshops for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The system is designed for the repair and maintenance of drones.
The Ministry of Defense has certified and authorized the use of the new “General Chereshnya” unmanned FPV aerial system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
