Command of an Air Defense Division in Crimea Faces Possible Dismissal Due to Systemic Losses
In temporarily occupied Crimea, the leadership of the Sevastopol air defense division of the Russian army may be removed from their positions.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the partisan movement ATESH.
The reason for such radical personnel decisions is the systematic and large-scale losses of valuable air defense systems on the peninsula.
Due to the critical condition of the units, a special inspection commission from Moscow urgently arrived in Sevastopol.
According to agents of the ATESH movement, the issue of a complete replacement of the command staff of the 31st Air Defense Division is currently being considered.
This division is part of the structure of the 4th Air and Air Defense Forces Army of the Southern Military District of the aggressor state.
It is directly responsible for protecting the airspace over the strategically important areas of Sevastopol and Dzhankoi.
To defend the airspace, the occupiers actively use the S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile systems. However, recent successful strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces have demonstrated the vulnerability of even these modern Russian systems.
Partisans emphasize that “significant losses of air defense assets in recent times have led to a noticeable weakening of the protection of the Kherson region and Crimea.”
Moscow is effectively acknowledging the inability of the current leadership to ensure the security of these facilities.
The weakening of the air defense shield opens new opportunities for further demilitarization of the enemy’s military capabilities.
The Russian command is trying to find those responsible for the failures, hoping to correct the situation by changing the generals.
The situation surrounding the 31st division indicates a deep crisis in the command system of the occupying forces. Constant pressure from Ukrainian strike capabilities is forcing the Kremlin to react nervously and conduct internal investigations.
It should be recalled that the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released a video showing strikes on ships, boats, and a helicopter belonging to Russian occupiers in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The Ukrainian Navy also published footage showing the destruction of a Pantsir-S1 air defense system and a boat in Crimea.
