Lavrov, describing the new world order, spoke in criminal jargon
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated during a speech at a meeting of the Russian International Affairs Council that some countries have “lost their bearings” and are acting “with impunity.”
According to him, certain states are openly claiming rights to foreign territories without legal grounds and resorting to the elimination of political leaders in other countries. The minister clearly did not mean Russia, as he expressed outrage at such processes, calling them signs of the destruction of old international norms.
At the same time, Lavrov is enthusiastic about such changes and the rule of the strong. He noted that the world is currently in a state of active “restructuring,” accompanied by the “breakdown” of the existing system. He predicted that the ultimate result of these changes should be the formation of a multipolar world. According to the Russian official, the current stage is the height of a global transformation, which in the long run will allegedly lead to the emergence of a more stable and just order.
At the same time, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry did not provide specific legal justifications for his claims, limiting himself to sharp rhetoric. The use of informal language in an official speech was an attempt to emphasize Moscow’s critical stance toward current international politics. Currently, Russia continues to promote its own vision for restructuring global relations amid ongoing global conflicts.
Earlier, Lavrov stated that Russia would only be satisfied with the entire Donbas and a change of power in Ukraine.
Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia continues to view the agreements with the United States reached during the Anchorage summit as a starting point for negotiations on a possible peaceful settlement of the war against Ukraine. At the same time, he said, the “spirit of Anchorage” is gradually fading.
