Drone unit destroys one in four targets on the front lines — Fedorov

Units from the "Drone Line" project are currently hitting one in every four targets on the front lines.

This was reported by Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, the project already brings together over 1,000 crews. In March alone, they destroyed over 10,500 Russian soldiers and hundreds of pieces of equipment.

Fedorov noted that the “Drone Line” was launched in the spring of 2025 based on five of the most effective units, including “Madyar’s Birds,” “Achilles,” and others.

The project’s key objective is to create a so-called “killzone” 10–15 km deep, where the enemy cannot advance without significant losses. Drones accompany infantry, detecting and destroying targets even as they approach.

Ukraine is also seeking international support to develop this initiative. In particular, the Netherlands has already allocated $880 million for the purchase of various types of drones.

As part of the project, recruitment is underway for UAV operators, engineers, IT specialists, and analysts.

On the night of April 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes against Russian military targets. Oil depots, warehouses, and equipment positions were hit, particularly in occupied Crimea. This is part of a systematic effort to destroy the enemy’s logistics.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the invaders’ current strategic goal is to seize additional territories to create a so-called “buffer zone” within the Dnipropetrovsk region.
