Since the start of the day, Russian forces have launched 64 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces; the heaviest fighting is taking place in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kostyantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 19 attacks in the areas of several settlements; some of the fighting is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers attempted to break through Ukrainian military defenses 18 times—three engagements are still ongoing.
Active combat operations are also ongoing in the Lyman direction, where Ukrainian forces are repelling enemy advances, as well as in the Kupiansk and Kharkiv directions.
In the south, particularly in the Huliaipole sector, ten attacks have been recorded, some of which are ongoing. Fighting is also continuing near the Antonivsky Bridge in the Dnipro sector.
In addition, the enemy continues to shell the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, using artillery, MLRS, and aviation.
The General Staff notes that the situation remains tense, but Ukrainian forces are holding back the enemy’s advance on most fronts.
As a reminder, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 980 Russian troops and two air defense systems over the past 24 hours.
Ukrainian troops are expanding the logistics corridor to Myrnohrad, according to the Airborne Forces.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to successfully repel Russian troops’ attempts to advance in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad areas.
Pokrovsk has become a critically important defensive sector for Ukraine.
Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area of responsibility of the "East" Operational Command repelled 106 attacks by Russian troops over the past 24 hours.
