Russian drones are complicating supply operations for Ukrainian troops on the eastern bank of the Oskil River. However, overall, the Defense Forces’ logistics remain more efficient than those of the Russian army.
This was stated by Viktor Tregubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation. According to him, the most dangerous area is a strike zone extending about 20–25 kilometers inland, where Ukrainian troops are forced to use covert movement tactics.

“Logistics on the eastern bank of the Oskol River are relatively complicated because a large number of Russian drone operators are active there. Overall, our logistics are better than the enemy’s. There are some relatively difficult spots,” the spokesperson said.
Separately, Tregubov commented on the possibility of a new wave of mobilization in Russia following the upcoming elections. According to him, even international experts are currently unable to confidently assess whether the Kremlin has the necessary resources for such a move.
At the same time, he noted that the situation within Russia could change significantly before the elections due to strikes on military and industrial infrastructure.
“We don’t even know yet what state Russia will be in going into these elections, because long-range strikes are being carried out, which are affecting the Russian economy and public sentiment,” Tregubov noted.
According to him, how events unfold will depend not only on the military situation at the front but also on the internal state of Russia, which is increasingly being affected by the consequences of Ukraine’s long-range strikes.
Tregubov made these remarks during an appearance on the “We Are Ukraine” television channel.
As a reminder, Russian troops continue to exert intense pressure in the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors and are seeking to establish a continuous zone of control along the state border with Russia.
Ukrainian medium-range strike drones have begun actively attacking Russian supply routes far from the front lines. According to Business Insider, this is creating serious logistical problems for the Russian army and depriving it of its rear areas, which were previously considered relatively safe.
