Lubinec announced the return of Ukrainian children from Russia following their adoption
There have been several cases in which Ukrainian children were successfully returned from Russia even after they had been officially adopted by Russian families.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets made this statement while speaking with journalists following the presentation of the project “Made in Russia. Delivered to Captivity.”
According to him, a key factor in such cases is the presence of the child’s relatives in Ukraine, which facilitates the return process.
Lubinec also reported on established cooperation with an American team of mediators who are helping to return Ukrainian children from Russia.
According to the ombudsman, Melania Trump is directly involved in this work, and he communicates with her team on a daily basis.
According to official data, Russia has taken about 20,000 Ukrainian children.
Lubinec presented a project on Russia’s war crimes against Ukrainian prisoners of war.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, commented on preparations for a “1,000 for 1,000” prisoner exchange. According to him, technical work is currently underway at the level of negotiating teams, which are working out the details of the future process.
