The Russian Ministry of Defense claims to have destroyed 133 drones overnight
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported a massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles that allegedly took place on the night of June 19, 2026.
According to official data from the Russian ministry, as of 10:00 a.m., the invaders had allegedly managed to destroy 133 Ukrainian drones.
The enemy’s air defense systems were active in several border regions of Russia, as well as in the Black Sea and over the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula.
As is customary, the Ukrainian side does not comment on statements by the aggressor country’s defense ministry regarding the performance of its air defense systems.
Russian propaganda media and official sources claim that all aircraft-type drones launched were successfully destroyed or neutralized by electronic warfare systems.
At the same time, local residents on social media reported hearing explosions and seeing fires in several areas, which contradicts claims that all targets were completely intercepted.
Russian authorities are concealing the true extent of the damage caused by the strikes, attempting to reassure their own population amid regular attacks on military facilities.
Official enemy reports indicate a wide geographical range of drone flights that have attacked the military infrastructure and logistics facilities of the occupying forces.
The largest number of aerial targets was recorded in the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, which directly border the front line and are used to launch attacks on Ukraine.
Military facilities in the Black Sea, where the remnants of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are based and the invaders’ logistics hubs are concentrated, were also targeted.
