Russia attacked a truck parking lot in the Odesa region; one person was killed and others were injured
Russian troops struck a truck parking lot in the south of the Odesa region, causing a massive fire and resulting in civilian casualties.
One person was killed in the attack, four others were injured, and one of the injured was hospitalized.
The strike caused a fire at the parking lot, during which empty fuel tankers and a gas tanker were burned. Emergency services quickly extinguished the fire.
Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, called the attack yet another strike against the region’s civilian infrastructure.
“Another cynical attack by the enemy on civilian infrastructure in southern Odesa Oblast. As a result of the enemy strikes, a fire broke out at a truck parking lot. Empty fuel tankers and a gas tanker caught fire. Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire. Unfortunately, one person was killed in the attack. Four others were injured, and one of the injured has been hospitalized,” he wrote.
Emergency services continue to work at the scene. Efforts to address the aftermath of the strike and document the damage are ongoing.
