Moscow Oil Refinery Halts Operations for Half a Year Following Drone Attacks — Reuters
The Moscow oil refinery, which is the largest supplier of fuel to the Russian capital and the surrounding region, will need at least six months to recover from attacks by Ukrainian drones.
According to the agency, the plant was attacked twice this month, bringing its operations to a complete halt. Industry sources note that the extent of the damage is so significant that repairs will take at least half a year.
Amid the strikes on Russian oil refineries, fuel shortages have worsened across the country. Several regions are already experiencing a shortage of petroleum products, rising prices, and long lines at gas stations.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the Russian government is considering a ban on diesel fuel exports to stabilize the domestic market.
