Two people died in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 40 times using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. Two people were killed and two others were wounded as a result of the strikes. Residential buildings, stores, administrative buildings, a clinic, and vehicles were damaged, and fires broke out in several locations.
This was reported at 6:30 p.m. by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. According to him, Russian forces carried out more than 40 strikes across four districts of the region. Drones, artillery, and aerial bombs were used in the attacks. The Nikopol district was hit hardest by the Russian strikes. The enemy attacked Nikopol, as well as the Pokrovsk, Marganetsk, and Chervonohryhorivsk communities.
As a result of the shelling, a clinic, administrative buildings, a store, and private homes were damaged there. A bus and a truck were also destroyed. Two people were killed in the Nikopol district. Two other residents of the region were injured. A 54-year-old man was hospitalized; doctors assess his condition as moderate. Another injured man, aged 48, is receiving outpatient treatment.
There is also damage in other parts of the region
In the Dubovykivska community of the Synelnykivskyi district, Russian strikes destroyed and damaged more than two dozen private homes. Cars were also damaged. The Zelenodolsk community in the Kryvyi Rih district was also targeted. There, a private home, a store, and a car were damaged. Russian forces also struck Pavlohrad and the Mezhyrich community. Fires broke out as a result of the attacks.
Thus, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out dozens of strikes on civilian infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The shelling resulted in casualties, injuries, and extensive damage to residential and other civilian structures. This was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.
As of August 8, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to approximately 1,456,610 soldiers.
On August 7, there were 192 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops on the front lines. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk direction—25 assaults were recorded there over the past 24 hours, and Ukrainian forces neutralized 56 Russian soldiers.
