Putin's party will receive nearly $65.5 million a year from the Russian Federation's budget
Based on the results of the State Duma elections, the ruling party “United Russia” will receive approximately 5.5 billion rubles (nearly $65.5 million) per year from the Russian Federation’s federal budget.
Under Russian law, every party that clears the 3 percent threshold receives 152 rubles (about $1.8) per voter annually from the state budget. According to the Central Election Commission, with 96.55% of the ballots counted, the ruling party has received 36.7 million votes.
State funding will also be distributed among other parties that cleared the 3 percent threshold. Specifically, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), with 8.7 million votes, expects to receive 1.3 billion rubles (nearly $15.5 million) per year; the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), with 5.7 million votes, expects to receive nearly 850 million rubles (over $10 million); and “New People,” with 5 million votes, can expect about 750 million rubles (nearly $8.9 million).
The “Fair Russia” party, which may not make it into the State Duma because it failed to reach the 5 percent threshold, will still receive budget funds. Having received 3.1 million votes, it will be able to receive over 470 million rubles (about $5.6 million) annually.

The three-day vote for 450 seats in the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, concluded on Sunday, September 20. According to the Russian Central Election Commission, voter turnout was close to 59.32%. CEC Chair Ella Pamfilova stated that the ruling “United Russia” party received 57.83% of the vote.
Thus, based on preliminary data, “United Russia” may secure a constitutional majority in the State Duma following the parliamentary elections. It could win 355 of the 450 seats.
