The mandatory evacuation zone for children is being expanded in Donetsk Oblast
In three communities in the Donetsk region, the mandatory evacuation zone for children is being expanded. This was announced by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
This applies to certain settlements in the Svyatogorsk, Sloviansk, and Novodonetsk communities.
The evacuation will be carried out with children accompanied by their parents, guardians, or legal representatives. Local military administrations, the police, rescue workers, and child welfare services are involved in the effort.
“People will be accompanied at every stage—from departure to the reception center and subsequent relocation to safer regions. We are making all these decisions with one goal in mind: to prevent further casualties among children. I urge parents not to delay and not to put their children in danger,” Filashkin said.
Russian troops struck a passenger bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were killed and seven others were wounded in the attack, according to Serhiy Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past 24 hours, 278 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.
As of September 16, 2026, the Ukrainian military had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses increased by another 1,530 soldiers.
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian troops launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction—there, Ukrainian forces repelled 38 assaults.
