In the Mykolaiv region, 18 communities were left without power due to Russian attacks
In the Mykolaiv region, a power line was damaged by falling debris following Russian strikes. As a result, 18 communities are without power.
Currently, approximately 3,628 customers remain without power.
Utility workers are already working to restore power to the affected communities.
In addition to damaging the power infrastructure, Russian troops struck the “Kyiv–Mykolaiv” passenger train.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the attack.
To evacuate passengers, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, together with relevant services, is organizing bus transfers.

According to Ukrainian officials, on September 16, Russian drones attacked a passenger bus near Nikopol in Ukraine and a passenger train in the Mykolaiv region. Five people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of the strike on the bus.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, a private home was damaged as a result of Russian shelling. A 65-year-old woman was trapped under the rubble; rescuers freed her and handed her over to medical personnel.
Russian troops struck a passenger bus in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of the attack, according to Serhiy Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.
Over the past 24 hours, 278 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.
As of September 16, 2026, the Ukrainian military had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses rose by another 1,530 soldiers.
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian troops launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 38 assaults.
