Over the past 24 hours, 216 combat engagements took place on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 23 assaults. According to preliminary data, the occupiers lost 40 soldiers killed and another six were wounded.
In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out one missile strike, using two missiles. The enemy also carried out 68 airstrikes and dropped 213 guided bombs.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 6,428 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,294 shelling attacks on Ukrainian settlements and Defense Forces positions. “In total, 216 combat engagements have taken place since the start of this 24-hour period,” the General Staff reported.
Where the Russians Tried to Advance
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces attempted to attack Ukrainian positions three times. As of this evening, one combat engagement was still ongoing. The enemy also carried out an airstrike using two guided bombs and fired on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas 49 times. Two of these attacks involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the occupiers launched 15 assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces. Fighting took place near Kozacha Lopana, Lyman, Izbytske, Kovalevka, Okhrimivka, Chorne, Khatne, Mitrofanivka, and Ivashchyne. One clash was still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, no Russian assaults were recorded.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy made 11 attempts to advance. The attacks took place in the areas of Olgivka, Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, Dibrova, Ozerny, and Lyman. Another battle was still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 17 Russian attempts to advance. Fighting took place near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Piskunivka, and Riznykivka. Another engagement was still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched two attacks in the areas of Nykyforivka and Markove.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 18 assaults. Russian troops attempted to advance near Ivanopil, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, and Novopavlivka.
Near Pokrovsk, 23 attacks were repelled
The situation remained most tense on the Pokrovsk sector. Here, Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 23 times. The occupiers attacked near Toretsk, Shakove, Sofiivka, Chernihivka, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novopidhorodne. As of the evening, one engagement was still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, over the past 24 hours on this section of the front, Ukrainian forces eliminated 40 Russian occupiers and wounded six more. The Defense Forces also destroyed two vehicles and three pieces of specialized equipment, as well as a Russian military drone control center.
Four more enemy artillery systems and one piece of enemy vehicle equipment were damaged. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed or neutralized 340 drones of various types.
Fighting continued in the south as well
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks in the areas of Rybne and Piddubne.
In the Huliaipole sector, 12 attacks were recorded. Russian forces launched assaults near Vozdvizhivka, Tsvitkove, Rizdvyanka, Rivne, Hirke, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Yegorivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks near Bilohirya, Pavlivka, and Plavny.
In the Dnipro sector, no Russian assaults were recorded.
In other sectors, according to the General Staff, there were no significant changes in the situation. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked several regions of Ukraine simultaneously. At least six people were killed and another 56 were wounded as a result of the shelling. Among those killed in Sumy were two children and a woman.
