There have already been 51 combat engagements on the frontline since the beginning of the day
As of 04:00 p.m. on February 20, Ukrainian units have recorded 51 combat engagements along the frontline, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy remains active in all directions, using artillery, mortars, and aviation. Communities in the Chernihiv region — Krasnyi Khutir and Khrinivka — as well as Tovstodubove, Volfyne, Rohizne, Starikove, Budky, and Iskryskivshchyna in the Sumy region have come under fire.
North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: Two combat engagements were recorded, along with two airstrikes involving three guided bombs and 34 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions, one of them using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Ukrainian forces achieved certain successes.
South-Slobozhanskyi direction: An attack near Vovchanski Khutory was repelled; the enemy made no advances.
Kupiansk direction: One attempted offensive near Novoosynove.
Lyman direction: Four attacks near Zarichne, Drobysheve, and Lyman; three engagements are ongoing.
Sloviansk direction: Attacks near Yampil and Rai-Oleksandrivka; one engagement continues.
Kramatorsk direction: No enemy offensive actions were recorded.
Kostiantynivka direction: Ten attacks near Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Berestok, and Novopavlivka; three engagements are ongoing.
Pokrovsk direction: Fourteen attacks in the areas of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and near Novooleksandrivka; the enemy was stopped in 13 cases.
Oleksandrivka direction: An attempted offensive near Stepove; Velykomykhailivka was hit by an airstrike.
Huliaipole direction: Ten attacks near Huliaipole, Zahirne, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, and Sviatopetrivka; five assaults are ongoing. Airstrikes targeted Verkhniya Tersa, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.
Orikhiv direction: Two attacks near Stepove and Mali Shcherbaky.
Prydniprovske direction: Two attacks were repelled toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No significant changes have been recorded in other directions so far, and no further enemy attempts to advance have been observed.
It was also reported earlier that Ukrainian forces launched a counteroffensive in one sector of the frontline, according to Voloshyn.
Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a communications hub and a drone control center used by the occupying forces.
