There were 133 clashes on the front lines; the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled attacks in the Pokrovsk direction
On May 11, 133 combat engagements were recorded along the front line between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. The heaviest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 26 times.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 10:00 p.m.
"In total, 133 combat engagements have taken place since the start of this day. The enemy deployed 4,901 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,926 attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions," the statement reads.
Three combat engagements with the enemy took place in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The enemy carried out 46 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, three of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy launched eight assaults on the positions of our units in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Starytsia, and Krasne Pershe. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked twice today, in the areas of Radkivka and Kivsharivka. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the aggressor launched 11 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Lyman, Drobysheve, Zarichne, Ozerne, and Stavy. One engagement is still ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Riznykivka and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations today.
Defense forces successfully repelled 15 enemy assaults in the Kostyantynivka sector near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Novopavlivka, Toretske, and Kucheriiv Yar. Three clashes are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 26 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, and in the direction of Novopavlivka. Four attacks are ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 50 occupiers were killed and 17 wounded in this sector today; one multiple launch rocket system and six enemy vehicles were destroyed, while three vehicles, two artillery pieces, and 50 personnel shelters were damaged. A total of 150 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types have been destroyed or neutralized.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, our defenders repelled two attacks toward Kalynivka and Verbove.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 16 enemy attacks toward the settlements of Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Novozaporizhzhia, Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, and in the Huliaipole area.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy twice stormed the positions of our defenders in the Stepnogorsk area.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations today.
In other sectors, there were no significant changes in the situation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.
