There were 178 firefights on the front lines, and nearly 50 invaders were killed in the Pokrovsk sector

On September 2, there were 178 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops along the front lines. The enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk direction.

"In total, 178 combat engagements have taken place since the start of this day. The aggressor carried out 71 airstrikes using 243 guided bombs, deployed 6,548 kamikaze drones for attacks, and fired 2,083 rounds at the positions of our troops and populated areas," the report states.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, since the start of the day, the enemy has carried out five airstrikes using 11 guided aerial bombs, conducted one assault operation, and fired 60 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our units four times in the direction of the settlements of Lyman, Khatne, Vodyane, and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attempted to improve its positions eight times by conducting assault operations toward Radkivka, Kivsharivka, and Hlushkivka. One battle is ongoing.

Five attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the Lyman sector near the towns of Shyikivka, Dibrova, and Novoosynove. One of these attacks is still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas around the settlements of Kryva Luka and Ozerne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders launched an assault toward Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 21 enemy assaults near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Mykolaipillia, Sofiivka, and Vilne.

The enemy carried out 24 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance toward the settlements of Hannivka, Bilytske, Vilne, Dobropillia, Novofedorivka, Novohryshyne, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka, as well as in the areas of Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, and Udachne. One attack is still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, 48 occupiers were eliminated and 25 wounded here today; six vehicles, one artillery piece, five special-purpose vehicles, a UAV command post, and 27 enemy personnel shelters were destroyed. Three artillery pieces, nine vehicles, two multiple-launch rocket systems, four UAV command posts, and 106 enemy personnel shelters were damaged. A total of 368 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or neutralized.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks directed at the settlements of Dobropillia, Vozdvizhivka, and Hirke.

In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders halted four enemy attempts to advance in the area of Novoandriivka, Novoyakovlivka, and Mali Shcherbakiv.

In the Dnipro sector, the occupiers did not carry out any offensive operations.

In other sectors, there were no significant changes in the situation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.

On the front lines, a former aide to Zhirinovsky, known for the Safonov meme, was eliminated.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,420 occupiers and destroyed over 1,300 drones.

In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.

Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and over 400 pieces of military equipment.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
