There were 91 clashes along the front line, with the fiercest fighting continuing in two sectors

Since the start of the day on April 21, 2026, there have been 91 combat engagements along the front line, with the occupiers launching their most intense attacks in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors. The highest number of assaults was recorded near the towns of Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and surrounding villages, where Ukrainian troops continue to repel the enemy’s advance.

This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noting that the aggressor is also actively using aviation and artillery along the border of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

In the Lyman, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Huliaipole sectors, the Defense Forces repelled dozens of attempts by the invaders to advance deeper into the territory. The Russian army also attempted to improve its position in the Kharkiv region, but Ukrainian troops continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in its rear.

Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov once again made a cynical statement about the alleged complete occupation of the Luhansk region, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces have almost completely occupied Hryshyne.
