Over the past 24 hours, 233 clashes occurred on the front lines, with the highest number in the Kostiantynivka sector
Over the past day, on August 14, there were 233 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian occupiers on the front lines. The Russians actively used aircraft and drones: they carried out 71 airstrikes, dropped 241 guided bombs, and launched 10,626 kamikaze drones. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on August 14, Russian troops carried out 3,042 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas. Thirty-six of these were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, the enemy carried out 71 airstrikes and used 241 guided bombs.
Russian forces also deployed 10,626 kamikaze drones. In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck two Russian command posts, five troop concentration areas, three artillery systems, and eight drone control centers.
Where the Russians Attacked the Most
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled six Russian assaults.
The enemy carried out four airstrikes there, dropped eight aerial bombs, and conducted 62 artillery barrages.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the Russians attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 12 times. The attacks took place near Staritsa, Vovchansk, and in the direction of Izbytske, Vilcha, Lyman, Shyroke, Aniksyne, and Khatne.
Another 14 enemy offensive operations were recorded in the Kupiansk sector. Russian forces attacked toward Petro-Ivanivka and in the area of Holubivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces made five attempts to advance toward Drobysheve and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction—23 assaults
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops carried out 23 assaults.
The occupiers attacked in the areas of Riznykivka, Zakytne, and Kryva Luka. They also attempted to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Ozerny, and Mykolaivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces carried out one offensive operation toward Yurkivka.
The heaviest fighting over the past 24 hours took place in the Kostiantynivka sector. There, Ukrainian forces repelled 34 attacks.
Russian forces launched assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Toretsk, and Sofiivka. They also attempted to advance toward Stepanivka, Dovha Balka, and Kuchero-Yar.
Heavy fighting also continued near Pokrovsk.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces carried out 29 attacks.
The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of Dorozhne, Kotlyne, and Udachne. In addition, they attacked in the direction of Svitle, Novyi Donbas, Muravka, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces launched six attacks toward Piddubne, Myrne, Verbove, and Kalynivske.
Seven more attacks took place on the Huliaipole sector. The enemy attempted to advance toward Rivne, Verkhnia Tersa, and Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defense forces repelled one Russian attempt to advance toward Pavlivka.
In the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not conduct any offensive operations.
No new offensive formations were detected in the north.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, Ukrainian forces did not observe any signs of Russian offensive formations being established. At the same time, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops continued to make heavy use of drones, aircraft, and artillery.
In total, 233 combat engagements took place on the front lines on August 14. The highest number of assaults occurred in the Kostiantynivka sector—34—and the Pokrovsk sector—29. The situation in these areas remains tense, and Ukrainian forces continue to repel the Russian offensive. This was reported in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Samara, Russia, a fire broke out at the “CSKB-Progress” facility following an airstrike. According to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, the plant manufactures medium-class launch vehicles and unmanned space vehicles.
