Russians struck the Kharkiv region; six people were injured
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv and 19 other settlements in the region. Six people were affected by the attacks; four were injured, and two others suffered acute stress reactions.
This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. “Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 19 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under enemy attack. Six people were affected by the shelling,” Synyegubov said.
In Lozova, two men—aged 33 and 34—suffered blast injuries. Two other residents of the city—a 40-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man—experienced acute stress reactions. In the village of Pisky-Radkivski, part of the Borivska community, a 60-year-old man was injured. In Kharkiv, a 33-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.
What Weapons Did the Russians Use Against the Region?
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have used various types of weapons against the Kharkiv region. The following were recorded:
- 4 missiles;
- 7 guided aerial bombs;
- 2 “Lancet” drones;
- 3 “Molniya” drones;
- 1 FPV drone;
- 52 drones, the type of which is currently being determined.
The attacks damaged residential buildings, businesses, and other civilian infrastructure.
Which facilities were damaged
In Kharkiv, 10 apartment buildings were damaged.
In the Bohodukhiv district, Russian strikes damaged two warehouses, 50 metric tons of grain, and a grain cleaning machine in Murafa. Three private homes, two outbuildings, and a church in Krasivka were also damaged. In Zolochiv, two private homes, two outbuildings, and two cars were damaged.
In the Kupiansk district, a private home in Velykyi Burluk was damaged.
In the Izyum district, a preschool in Balakliya, a private home in Komarivka, a farm, and a grain elevator in Bugaivka sustained damage. Livestock was also affected.
In the Kharkiv district, a shopping center in Mala Danilivka and a private home in Ruski Tyshky were damaged.
In the Lozova District, a warehouse in Blyznyuky, a farm building in Lozova, two cars in Batyushky, a private home in Vesele, and a wheat field in Orilka were damaged.
In the Chuhuiv district, a car was damaged in Shestakove, and two buildings and two farm structures were damaged in Vodyakhivka.
Lozova has taken in hundreds of evacuees
In addition to the consequences of the shelling, the evacuation of people from dangerous areas continues in the Kharkiv region. Over the past 24 hours, the transit evacuation center in Lozova received 275 people.
In total, 52,539 people have passed through and been registered at the center since it began operations. Russian troops continue to regularly attack Kharkiv and settlements throughout the region. Both residential areas and civilian enterprises, farms, warehouses, and other infrastructure are coming under fire. Oleg Sinehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.
In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District of the Odesa region, Russian drones damaged buildings at a shoe factory on the night of August 15. Following the strike, the cafeteria, boiler room, and a car caught fire, and the administrative building was also damaged. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
Russian forces carried out 971 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Forty-two settlements came under fire, and two people were wounded as a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. There were also 44 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.
Since the evening, Russian troops have attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. As a result of the strikes in Marhanets, a three-month-old boy was killed, and 11 other people were injured, including two children. During the attack, the Russians used drones, artillery, and an aerial bomb.
