Over the past day, 278 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk sector—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.
Over the past day, Russian troops carried out 106 airstrikes and dropped 356 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 7,106 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,366 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery targeted areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.

In the Sumy region, Russian troops shelled Pysarivka, Ulanove, Ryzhivka, Oleksiivka, Yunakivka, Volfyne, and Maryine.
The Ivolzhansky and Tovstodubovy districts of Sumy Oblast came under enemy airstrikes.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy assaults in the areas of Bachivska, Korenka, and Hirky.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Defense Forces repelled 17 enemy attacks.
Russian troops attempted to advance in the areas of Lyman, Prylipka, Starytsia, and Izbytske, as well as in the directions of Mala Vovcha and Volokhivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched three attacks in the areas of Kivsharivka and Tabayivka.

Meanwhile, in the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks. The occupiers launched assaults in the areas of Lyman, Stavky, and Dibrova, as well as in the directions of Novoselivka and Drobysheve.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out seven assaults in the areas of Ozernoye and Kryva Luka, as well as in the direction of Mykolaivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers launched a single attack toward Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 18 attacks by Russian forces were recorded.
The invaders carried out assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Illinivka, as well as in the directions of Osykove, Mykolaipillia, Novohryhorivka, and Dovha Balka.

The highest number of assaults over the past day was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector—43 attacks.
Ukrainian defenders halted the enemy’s offensive operations in the areas of Bilytske, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske.
Russian forces also launched assaults in the directions of Sofiivka, Priyut, Kucherovyi Yar, Vilne, Novyi Shakhovyi, Stepy, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vodyanske, Krasnopodillia, Novofedorivka, and Vasylivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces made 10 attempts to advance. The attacks took place in the area of Hirky and in the directions of Kosivtseve, Rizdvyanka, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attempt to advance toward Zarichne.
Overall, Russian troops continue to actively attack Ukrainian positions, while the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s advance and inflicting losses on them.

As of September 16, 2026, Ukrainian forces had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses have increased by another 1,530 troops.
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 38 assaults. According to the General Staff, 66 occupiers were eliminated in this sector of the front over the past 24 hours, and dozens of pieces of military equipment and enemy targets were destroyed.
