Russia attacked the Poltava region and struck an industrial facility
As a result of the Russian attack on the Poltava region on September 16, a strike on an industrial facility was recorded. Vitaliy Dyakivnych, head of the Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the strike.
Energy infrastructure was also targeted. Fortunately, there were no casualties in either case.

Over the past 24 hours, 278 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines. Russian troops carried out the most assaults in the Pokrovsk direction—Ukrainian defenders repelled 43 enemy attacks.
As of September 16, 2026, the Ukrainian military had eliminated 1,530 Russian occupiers over the past 24 hours. The Russian Federation’s total military losses increased by another 1,530 soldiers.
Since the start of the day on September 15, there have been 219 combat engagements on the front lines. Russian forces launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian troops repelled 38 assaults.
