Over the past 24 hours, 148 clashes were recorded on the front lines: where the fighting is most intense
Over the past 24 hours, there were 148 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Russian forces. The enemy concentrated its main offensive efforts on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Huliaipole sectors.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of March 22, 2026, the occupiers actively employed aviation, delivering 79 strikes using 265 guided bombs, and carried out over 3,500 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian settlements.
Particularly intense enemy air activity was recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, specifically near Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Pokrovsk. The Russian Federation’s army also made massive use of kamikaze drones, with the total number reaching 8,379 units over the past 24 hours. Despite constant pressure, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold their positions and inflict losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment.
In response to Russian attacks, the Air Force and Rocket Forces of the Defense Forces struck six areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. They also succeeded in destroying one enemy drone control center. The situation on key sections of the front remains tense but under the control of the Ukrainian command.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the Russians carried out 124 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 14 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). They launched two airstrikes using seven guided bombs. Six firefights were recorded over the past 24 hours.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted eight times to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Prylipka, Vovchanskiy Khutir, Starytsia, Okhrimivka, and Synelnykove.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked five times toward Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Pishchane, and Hlushevka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked five times, attempting to wedge into Ukrainian defenses by attacking in the Seredny area and toward Lyman, Stavky, and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attempts by Russian invaders to advance in the areas of Platonivka, Zakitne, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy made one attempt to improve its position in the Chasovyi Yar area.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russians carried out 17 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Yablunivka, Sofiivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Stepanivka, Illinivka, and Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 assaults by the Russian Federation’s army in the areas of the settlements of Shakove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward the settlements of Novoye Shakove, Kucheryv Yar, Bilytske, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Ternove, Zlagoda, and Krasnohirsk.

In the Huliaipole direction, there were 13 Russian attacks toward the settlements of Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Olenokostiantynivka, Zelen, Charivne, and Myrne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack toward Primorske.

In the Dnipro direction, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful attack toward Ukrainian defenders.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian offensive troop formations were detected.
