Three National Guard soldiers were killed in a drone attack in the Kharkiv region

Three servicemen of the Ukrainian National Guard were killed in the Kharkiv region while carrying out a combat mission.

This was reported by the Lasar’s Group unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.

According to available information, the soldiers were killed by a Russian drone strike. The victims were Staff Sergeant Hennadiy Sarkisyan, Master Sergeant Serhiy Batychev, and Senior Private Mykhailo Antonov.

Sarkisyan and Batyshev joined the defense of Ukraine from the very first days of the full-scale invasion and fought as part of an infantry unit. Antonov was a career soldier and had participated in combat operations since 2014 during the ATO and OOS.

All three were part of the “Socrates” crew, which was considered one of the most effective in the unit. During their service, the soldiers destroyed over 400 enemy targets, including anti-aircraft systems, artillery, and multiple launch rocket systems.

The unit noted that the deaths of the soldiers are a heavy loss for the team and expressed condolences to their families. Each of the deceased is survived by a wife and children.

As a reminder, Roman Tkachuk, head of the Institute of Civil Society, was killed in the war.

Photographer and cinematographer Vadym Tykhonovsky also died on the front lines.
