Four people were injured in drone attacks in the Kherson region

In the Kherson region, four civilians were injured on August 8 as a result of Russian attacks. All of them are residents of Kherson who were injured by strikes from Russian drones. Residential buildings, an administrative building, a cultural center, and vehicles were also damaged.

 

According to the investigation, on August 8, Russian forces attacked the Kherson region with artillery and various types of drones. “According to the investigation, on August 8, 2026, the Russian military struck the Kherson region using artillery and various types of drones. As of 5:30 p.m., four people were reported to have been affected by the Russian aggression,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

The four victims are residents of Kherson. They sustained injuries as a result of attacks by Russian drones. The Russian strikes caused damage not only to people. According to preliminary data, private homes and apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the attacks. An administrative building, a cultural center, and passenger cars were also damaged.

Prosecutors, together with investigators, continue to work at the sites of the attacks. They are collecting evidence and documenting the consequences of the Russian shelling to document war crimes committed by Russian military personnel. The prosecutor’s office emphasizes that the work to collect evidence is ongoing. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office.

As of August 8, 2026, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to approximately 1,456,610 soldiers. 

On August 7, there were 192 combat engagements on the front lines between Ukrainian defenders and Russian troops. The occupiers were most active in the Pokrovsk direction—25 assaults were recorded there over the past 24 hours, and Ukrainian forces neutralized 56 Russian soldiers.

Russian troops have made new advances near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Changes along the front line were documented by the DeepState monitoring project.
