A mandatory evacuation of children has been ordered in the Kherson region due to Russian drone attacks
In the Kherson region, due to the deteriorating security situation and an increase in attacks by Russian drones, a decision has been made to mandate the evacuation of children and their parents from certain settlements in the Kherson community.
This was reported on Telegram by the Kherson Military Administration following a meeting of the Regional Defense Council.
According to the Kherson City Military Administration, the evacuation will take place from settlements in the Naddniprianskyi Starosta District.
“A decision has been made to carry out a mandatory evacuation of the population from certain settlements in the Naddniprianske Starosta District due to the deteriorating security situation and the intensification of enemy drone attacks,” the statement reads.
In particular, children, along with their parents or legal guardians, from the villages of Naddniprianske and Molodizhne are subject to evacuation.
Local authorities urged residents not to delay evacuation and to ensure the safety of their families amid constant attacks by Russian troops.
Earlier reports indicated that in the Kherson and Stanislav communities, the intensity of Russian shelling has nearly tripled compared to 2024.
As a result, authorities have already announced the mandatory evacuation of children from certain areas of the region.
In addition, authorities in the Dnipropetrovsk region are implementing measures for the mandatory evacuation of the population from the most dangerous areas of the Nikopol district.
Despite the evacuation, 34 children remain in the Sloviansk districts
In the Kharkiv region, the mandatory evacuation zone has been expanded to include the Kupiansk district.
In Sloviansk, authorities also plan to implement the forced evacuation of children from areas most affected by Russian shelling.
