In the Kherson region, a Russian drone attacked a bus stop, killing a civilian

A civilian was killed in the Kherson region when a Russian drone struck a public transportation stop. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram.

 

“According to the investigation, on June 1, 2026, at approximately 4:10 a.m., Russian military forces carried out a drone attack on a street in the village of Shyroka Balka,” the statement reads.

As noted, a 62-year-old man who was at a public transport stop was killed as a result of the explosion. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that led to the death of a person.

On the night of May 30, Russian troops launched a massive drone strike on the Shostka community in Sumy Oblast, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure. 

Over the course of the day, Russian troops attacked four districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region simultaneously using drones, resulting in fires and damage to infrastructure. 
 

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
