In the Kyiv region, rescue workers spent nearly a day putting out a fire following an attack by Russia

Rescue workers spent nearly 24 hours extinguishing a fire at a warehouse in the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast. The fire broke out as a result of a Russian attack on the afternoon of September 25.

According to the State Emergency Service, the enemy had already attempted to attack this warehouse building on the night of September 25. The facility sustained damage at that time, but no fire broke out.

"After the daytime attack, a massive fire broke out here. Extinguishing it took nearly a day and was complicated by numerous air raid alerts. Due to the threat to their lives, rescuers were forced to periodically retreat to a safe distance and then return to work once the air raid alert was lifted," the State Emergency Service stated.

Despite the difficult conditions, the fire was successfully extinguished. State Emergency Service rescuers, as well as additional personnel and equipment, were involved in the operation.

There were no fatalities or injuries.

Work is continuing on site to dismantle and douse the structures.

The State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook.
