The Main Intelligence Directorate uncovered a scheme used by Russian agricultural magnates to circumvent sanctions
The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense announced that it had uncovered a scheme to circumvent sanctions, which, according to intelligence reports, is being used by Russian businessmen Alexander and Dmitry Dolgov from the Kaliningrad region.
The brothers are the founders and owners of the agricultural holding company “DolgovGroup,” which, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate, cultivates more than half of the agricultural land in the Kaliningrad region. The company is engaged in crop production, livestock farming, processing, and the sale of agricultural products.
Each year, the holding produces over 300,000 metric tons of grain. Its grain storage capacity is 240,000 metric tons, and the company has its own fleet of railcars for transportation.
The Dolgov enterprises export wheat, corn, rapeseed, barley, rye, and rapeseed oil. The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) asserts that “DolgovGroup” is not subject to sanctions and continues to generate revenue on the European market.
Ukrainian intelligence also stated that the Dolgovs’ businesses pay taxes to the Russian budget and systematically provide financial and material support to units of the Russian occupation forces.
